STEPS
1
POWER ON AND UNLOCK YOUR DEVICE. Type in your 4-digit pin if you have one set. 2
TAP THE HOME BUTTON ON YOUR IPHONE. This should, in most cases, bring you back to the first page of default apps on your device. 3
TAP THE MAPS APP. 4
TAP THE "ENABLE LOCATION" BUTTON FROM THE DIALOG BOX ASKING YOU TO CONFIRM THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE GPS POSITIONING TO FIND WHERE YOU ARE. 5
WAIT A FEW MOMENTS FOR THE DEVICE TO CALCULATE WHERE THE DEVICE IS. In a moment, it will automatically place a "pin" of where your phone is, directly on the map. 6
LOOK AT THE MAP. The blue dot (that may or may not be flashing) is where your phone is currently at. VIDEO
TIPS
The location is almost accurate up to 100-300 feet depending on your location to the GPS satellite (you don't notice) above your head.
If you have an iPod touch (using same operating system as iPhone), you will only be limited to the approximate location of the nearest Wi-Fi router, connected to the address supplied to the device. Most of the time, the location will be approximately near the device.
