How to Change an Android Ringtone (with Pictures)

Android cellphones come with a default ringtone preset. If you don't like it, you can switch it out for one of the other ones using the menu.
STEPS

1
HIT THE MENU ON YOUR ANDROID. Select "System settings."

2
SCROLL DOWN IN THE SETTINGS SCREEN. Select "Sound" under the "Device" section.

3
CLICK ON "PHONE RINGTONE" UNDER "RINGTONE & NOTIFICATIONS" IN THE SOUND SCREEN. The current ringtone you have is listed there.

4
SCROLL DOWN THROUGH THE "PHONE RINGTONE" SCREEN. Click the circle next to the ringtone you want. Click "OK" to select the tone. The current ringtone is shown with a blue dot.
TIPS
There are plenty of additional ringtones available to add to your phone online.
There are also apps like Ring Droid, that let you use MP3s to make your own ringtones.
WARNINGS
Make sure you test out a ringtone before you set it so you know what it sounds like. That way you'll actually know when you're phone is ringing.
